Some people would be surprised to find out that people still use dot matrix printers. Even more people would be surprised to learn that they are still a good choice for many applications in business. This type of printer has been time tested and has been shown to be the most reliable of all technologies. They can be used much more extensively than some of the modern printers, and can also be operated in an environment that may not be ideal. A shipping department for example, is not as clean as an office environment. The ribbons needed for these printers are still available for most models.
